2. I'm stuck! I followed the instructions, but I still can't assemble my UBiZ Furniture product: what can I do?

1. Some UBiZ Furniture Products have more advanced features that may require a little more explanation to assemble.

   We have prepared some additional Assembly Tips & Pointers in this website where you can download PDF documents (and even a few videos) containing additional step-by-step installation tips & pointers.

   These include desks & cabinets with "triple slide" roller assemblies, and chairs with gas type lift & chair or back-rest tilt function.

2. It may also be possible that you've overlooked a page from the assembly manual or a part. Some manuals & parts can be tucked away within the packaging to prevent loss during transit - so you may need to take another look.

   If you are certain that you are missing a part, or if a part is faulty - please contact the retailer where you purchased your UBiZ Furniture from; and they can organise for replacement parts to be sent to you. You'll need to provide them with your receipt / tax invoice as proof of purchase, as well as the name & model number of the product you purchased.

3. If you are physically having difficulty assembling the parts for larger & heavier products like desks & credenzas - or if you have are a considerable number of items (e.g. a new office fitout) that need to be assembled - you may wish to contact a 3rd party furniture assembly service to assist you.

3. How long does it take to assemble a unit of furniture?

All UBiZ Furniture products are designed to be straightforward & uncomplicated to assemble - without requiring customers to use any special skills or tools. All products are also included with clear step-by-step instruction manuals.

The time required can vary depending on the size of the unit, the number of pieces that make up the unit, and one's skill & past experience with tools & ready-to-assemble furniture.

Some products may require additional time, care, & patience to assemble; but a properly assembled product will reward users with a good looking, long lasting finish - and safe, & comfortable use - for a good long time.

In some cases, having someone to assist you can reduce the time required considerably - especially for larger items or greater quantities of products.

If you are having difficulty assembling the parts for larger & heavier products like desks & credenzas - or if there are a considerable amount of items that need to be assembled - you may wish to contact a 3rd party furniture assembly service to assist you.

4. What tools do I need to assemble a unit of furniture?

All UBiZ Furniture products are designed to be straightforward & uncomplicated to assemble - without requiring customers to use any special skills or tools. All products are also included with clear step-by-step instruction manuals.

Our assembly instructions will include an outline of the tools required to assemble the products; where these would typically involve a Phillips-head screwdriver, Chisel-head screwdriver, and/or Allen key. Larger items may also require a rubber-head hammer or an adjustable wrench.

A motorised power screwdriver may be helpful when installing a large quantity of items; but care must be taken not to over-tighten the screws as this can damage the furniture.

5. Can I add castors to an item of furniture?

Unless an item of furniture is included with castors, it is not recommended to install castors to it. Please note that doing so may make the furniture unstable, and it will void any product warranty.

6. What is a laminate finish?

Lamination is a process that firmly bonds layers of materials by various adhesives and fixing methods. Various furniture pieces & collections use different laminates e.g:

The Collins Collection features a melamine laminate.

The Piedmont Collection features a timber veneer laminate.

The Gen-X Collection features a varnished laminate.

Other UBIZ Furniture products & Collection items also use a paper laminate that is applied to the boards to provide an aesthetic finish (in wood grain and/or color) and a clear protective coating.
